- The Fund for Veterans Education Scholarship – UNDERGRADUATE ONLY
- This is the largest scholarship available and the easiest to get.
- You must have served 60 days in support of IOF/OEF or have an injury that prevented you from serving 60 days.
- Application deadline June 15, 2008.

- Horatio Alger Military Scholarship – UNDERGRADUATE ONLY
-This one is a little more difficult to acquire but is generous once you get accepted, I have a few close friends using this one
-Application period will resume in a few months, keep checking the site to see when it reopens
-OIF/OEF Vet Service after 9/11
-Financial need considered
-U.S. Citizenship Required
-Minimum GPA of 2.0 and completion of no more than 60 Semester Hours

State Specific Programs
- Connecticut Tuition Waivers – GRADUATE & UNDERGRADUATE
-If you are a CT resident or willing to relocate for school you may be able to use this.
- Connecticut State Colleges & Universities including (UConn) are included.
-90 day active duty requirement
-There are some program restrictions so look at each University site carefully while considering.
-Covers tuition only, not "fees"

- Maryland – UNDERGRADUATE ONLY
-If you are a MD resident, currently enrolled in a MD State college or willing to relocate you may be able to use this.
-Generous 50% award
-Can apply if resident of Maryland or if enrolled in a Maryland state funded college

- Massachusetts Tuition Waivers- UNDERGRADUATE & GRADUATE
- Residents of MA or those willing to relocate may be able to use this.
-Covers only Tuition not Fees
-Can be used at most MA state universities & colleges and most programs.

- All veterans receive in state tuition rates for undergraduate programs at state universities
- New York- UNDERGRADUATE & GRADUATE
-NY residents & Afghanistan Veterans can receive a $1000 per semester grant if they are attending college in the state

- Wisconsin
-Wisconsin has its own "GI Bill" program. You must have been a Wisconsin resident at entry to service to be eligible.
