Dear President Bush Senator
Representative:
America has become a financial disaster, spending vast sums on “defense”,
neglecting physical and human infrastructure, and postponing payments on
trillions of dollars of debt for future generations to cope with.
The Department of Defense's planned expenditures for the fiscal year 2008 are
larger than all other nations' military budgets combined, and even greater costs
lie ahead with war casualties and debt service costs.
If the White House cannot or will not begin re-ordering our budget priorities,
then only Congress has the power to force corrections.
This nation absolutely must introduce sane budget priorities this year. Further
delay is ruinous.
Sincerely,
